Hi, I’m John, and this is Denim Explained.
Today, we are going to talk about three different fits from three different companies. I will show you how they differ on the body in terms of how they sit and the silhouettes they create.
First up is the True Guy from Naked and Famous Denim. It has a slightly higher rise and, just as the name suggests, a true straight leg. There is very little taper, and the shape through the upper thigh gives enough room for a more relaxed look. If you have more muscle in your upper thighs, it still provides that extra room and comfort.
Next is the Tellis from AG Jeans, which is one of our number one fits. It has a slimmer shape, and because of how slim it is, this particular pair offers a nice amount of stretch in the material. It is more of a mid rise and is trimmer through the upper thigh area.
My personal favourite fit is from Fullcount Jean Makers. That is the 0105 Wide Straight, which is the jean I am wearing. It offers the most room through the leg opening and is definitely more relaxed. It has a nice long rise and comes up a bit higher in the back, so when you sit down, it stays in place at the small of your back.
I hope that helps differentiate between those three fits, and I hope it opens up more questions.
