This Canadian-born leisurewear brand is redefining what “resort-wear” means. Because let’s be honest—resort isn’t just a vacation anymore. It’s a mindset. One that blends ease, confidence, and a casually considered approach to style.
Bather was founded by Canadian Kyle Kaminsky. The idea took shape while on a trip to Croatia where Kaminsky noticed just how limited men’s swimwear options were. There was a clear disconnect between everyday style and what guys were wearing in the water. So, he set out to bridge the gap with one simple goal: to make men's swimwear you actually want to wear, both on and off the beach.
Bather launched in Canada back in 2013 and has grown steadily around the world today.

Every pattern is original—no off-the-shelf prints here. Much of the design work is done by Kyle’s brother, Evan, a graphic designer who helps keep the brands prints bold, fun, and totally unique.
To keep their standards high, Bather manufactures everything close to their HQ in downtown Toronto. That means they’re able to oversee every detail—from fabric sourcing to final stitch—ensuring consistent quality, ethical practices, and thoughtful design. The result is swimwear that performs as good as it looks: no bunching, no sticking, and definitely no compromise.
It all starts with the fabric and confidence starts with comfort. Bather uses a premium quick-dry polyester that’s soft, lightweight, and durable—so you’re never stuck in soggy, heavy swim trunks after a dip. The outer shell is smooth to the touch but tough enough to handle sun, salt, and repeated wear.
But the real game-changer? Their custom-developed liner. Forget the stiff, scratchy mesh you grew up with—Bather created an ultra-soft, supportive liner that eliminates chafing and discomfort. It’s breathable, flexible, and designed to move with you, not against you.
