Wonder Looper: Super Looper Fabric Review

Wonder Looper, founded by Bahzad Trinos and Risa Saito in Yokohama, Japan, started as a chainstitch embroidery service creating unique patterns on basic t-shirts. However, they soon realized the mass-produced tees didn’t match the quality of their embroidery. 

This led them on a journey to create their own premium t-shirts using the best materials and production methods in Japan, thus creating the Wonder Looper brand. 

The Wonder Looper collection expanded to include innovative fabrics, including t-shirts and sweatshirts, pushing the boundaries of premium knitwear. Wonder Looper’s mission is to elevate the entire knitwear industry, focusing on exceptional craftsmanship and rare fabrics to create garments that tell a story.

We're going to do a long overdue fabric review. Going to be kicking off this new series with one of my very favorite lines in the store, Wonder Looper. We are focusing quite specifically on their Super Looper fabric. As you can see, it is available in a wide variety of vivid colors. My personal favorite is this burgundy, which I picked up for myself. You can see we have them in crew neck hoodie, zip hoodie.

It is a contrasting weft, which really makes the loop stand out. So what Wonder Looper has done here, is they use a randomized Terry loop inside the fabric that makes the fabric feel like you're wrapped in your childhood towel while wearing your sweater. 

These Wonder Looper sweaters are all loop wheel manufactured in Wakiyama, Japan. Loop wheeling is a gravity fed knitting machine that creates a very beautiful, high quality fabric, but it's also incredibly slow. It makes only one meter of fabric per hour that makes these very rare and highly sought after items. So grab one while you can because they fly off the shelves.
